Frequently asked questions How do I use your online shop? Shopping online with us is easy. Simply choose from our ranges of either 'new' or 'second hand' furniture (click on the tabs) - browsing department by department, or use the search facility to locate something specific more quickly. Once you've found what you're looking for, simply select the appropriate product options (if any), enter a quantity figure and click 'Add to Basket'.
At this point, you will be transferred to your basket (briefly) in order to confirm the new addition and then returned to the product page you were viewing. To view your basket again, at any time, simply click on the 'View Basket' button at the top of the page. Once on the view basket page, you can also edit / remove any items you might wish to.
Once you're ready to buy, click on the 'Checkout' button at the top of the page and follow the on-screen prompts.
If you prefer, you can always contact us by telephone, fax or post (contact details at the foot of every page) to place your order. If ordering over the phone, please be advised that our sales department is available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm. I can't find what I'm looking for, can you help? If you can't find the exact item you require amongst the products on this site, please contact us and we'll see what we can do.

Please visit our UK Furniture Hire website for more information. Are your prices subject to VAT? All prices are subject to 17.5% Value Added Tax but are actually displayed exclusive of this. The exact amount of VAT payable on an order is shown separately in the basket.
In the case of deliveries to the Channel Islands, of course, VAT will not be added. What payment options do you offer? Payment can be made via credit or debit card (we accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, or Delta). In addition, we can also accept payment on proforma invoice and cash / cheque on delivery.
For your total peace of mind, we do not collect any card details over the Internet. Instead, once your order has been recorded, you will be invited to supply your payment details to us directly by telephone, post or fax.
Where do you deliver to? WS Supplies can deliver orders of any value to any destination in the United Kingdom. Regretably, we are unable to fulfil orders for overseas customers at this time.
How much do you charge for delivery? Delivery charges are based on destination and total order value (excluding VAT). Orders with a total value of £5,000 or over (excluding VAT) are eligible for FREE delivery.
At the beginning of the payment process you will be asked to select the country (within the UK only) and county to which you would like your goods delivered so that the associated charges might be calculated head of time, ready for the later stages of the process.
All deliveries include installation. How long will my order take to reach me? Goods are usually delivered via our own transport can normally be expected to take between 5 - 7 working days. Occasionally the lead-time may have to be increased, but you will of course be advised of this at time of order
Once your order has been processed and is ready for despatch, you will be notified with a more specific (and mutually convenient) delivery date. What happens if some or all of my order is out of stock? Should WS Supplies be unable to fulfil your order due to stock shortages, we will automatically back order it for you. You will always be notified if this is the case and given the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Obviously, in the case of second-hand items, it may not always be possible to obtain further stocks. How do I cancel / return an order for refund or exchange? Our policy for cancellations and returns varies according to the type of transaction (i.e. consumer or business-to-business), both are detailed below.
Consumer transactions
By law, you have a 7 working day cooling off period once you have received delivery of your goods. This right to cancel does not apply to goods that have been modified to your specifications.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must send notification in writing (fax or email is acceptable) within the cooling off period.
If you cancel the order after receipt, you must return the goods in the same condition as when supplied, at your own expense. If you fail to do so, we are entitled to deduct the cost of recovering the goods from the refund made.
These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Business-to-Business transactions
You have the right to cancel goods at any time prior to dispatch, excluding goods that are made to your specification.
You may return goods to us after delivery at your own cost and you will either be issued with a credit note for the full amount (excluding delivery charges) or be refunded (less a 15% handling fee).
This of course does not include faulty goods, which upon return to us (at your expense) will be replaced or refunded in full (again excluding delivery charges). Do you offer any kind of guarantee? WS offers the following guarantee on new products only:

- WS MB, WS MBA and WS HBT are covered for 5 years
- WS PC and WS PCA are covered for 1 year
- Drawer runners on WSDH are covered for 5 years
- WS 2, WS 3 and WS 4 have a manufacturers guarantee of 5 years
Goods must be returned to us, carriage paid, for repairs to be actioned. Once these have been completed, it is the customer's responsibility to arrange collection. In the case of complaints, customers should be advised that any complaint will be acknowledged within 5 working days and customers will be kept fully informed of progress throughout. Can I be sure that my privacy will be protected? WS Supplies do not disclose any customers' information to third parties, nor do we mis-use such information in any other way.
All informaton collected from customers is voluntarily supplied (i.e. name, address, telephone number, email, payment details etc) in the course of placing an order with us, and is only used to properly fulfil orders / provide effective customer service, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
In providing effective customer service, we may later wish to use voluntarily supplied contact data (by post, fax, email or telephone) in order to inform customers of updates to our products and services, special offers etc. However, we will not contact you in this way if you would prefer us not to, and you can choose to opt in or out of this service during the ordering process.
It should be duly noted that information supplied to us is only retained on our records for as long as is specifically required by law and dictated by good business practice. Currently, our financial records must be retained for 7 years, and records of customer orders retained for longer periods, after which, they will of course be carefully and completely destroyed.
Although we do not collect any information about our customers without their consent, customers should also note that cookies are used on this shopping site to enable the tracking of items in the shopping basket and this means that where acceptance of cookies is disabled within the browser, difficulties may be experienced in ordering online from us. What are my rights as a customer? The information on this page forms our terms and conditions of sale and can be assumed to be our contract with you. Any rights conferred to you here are in addition to any existing statutory rights you are entitled to under applicable law. The latter remain unaffected.
